A Race to Success – A Middle School Perspective on Student Engagement

This session provides participants with a truly hands-on experience in integrating health care occupations and concepts into the ongoing middle school standards based curriculum. This session will give insight on how to engage and excite middle school students in the learning experience.
You will experience a "Plug into the curriculum/after school project" that is designed specifically for the middle school student to explore a Pocket Career in the field of First Responder EMT-B.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act provides funding to states to replace cuts to K-12 and higher education for several purposes including teacher professional development for making progress toward rigorous college and career-ready standards.
