The State CTE Plan calls for CTE programs to “provide for the development of student leadership skills through an established career technical student organization (CTSO or an alternate strategy.” This workshop will look at concepts that will develop leaders in your program and community, as well as explore the benefits of CTSOs. The process for obtaining a charter with a state-recognized CTSO will be reviewed. Attendees will receive an officer training manual for organizing student leaders and training officer teams.
